Click Here to access the Application for Sign Permit.

Please Note:   Signs installed prior to permit approval are subject to twice the usual application fee.

Please review St Paul's Code of Ordinances  with regard  for the erection and control of signs within the city limits of the Town of St Paul and the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) of St Paul.    Contact Town Hall with any questions regarding the following:

Permanent Signs -  Permanent signs are only permitted on non-residentially zoned property.  A fully completed sign permit application inclusive of detailed design plans along with the application fee must be received before the application will be considered for approval.   Signs installed prior to the issuance of an approved sign permit will be subject to two times (2x) the application fee as specified in the current Town of St Paul fee schedule. Post-installation applications must meet all sign regulations and be approved by the building inspector or they must be removed immediately.

Temporary Signs - Temporary or promotional signage planned for businesses located on non-residential property is subject to different application fees, rules, regulations and time constraints for how long the sign can be displayed.   An Application for Sign Permit complete with the plans and design for the intended sign, must be received before the application will be considered for approval.  The application must be approved prior to the installation.

Unauthorized signs may be removed and will be deposited at Town Hall.   Signs that have been removed may be claimed within 30 days, but may not be re-erected without a permit.  Unauthorized signs may include, but are not limited to, the following:
