OSSF - On Site Sewage Facility (SEPTIC)
On Site Sewage Facilities (OSSF) are governed by Collin County. New or existing septic must be reviewed by Collin County if there is a new system installed or if for any reason there is an alteration or change in the load to the current existing system that is in place. If a property changes ownership, Collin County may require a notification of the change be provided by the purchaser of the property dependent upon the type of system(s) located on the property. Service contracts are also required by Collin County. Confirm with Collin County the applicable requirements for the specific property. Contact Collin County with any questions.
