An accessory building in St. Paul:

Must be 20' from the house

Cannot exceed 20' in height

Cannot be in front of the house and must be 60' from the front build line

Cannot be on an empty lot

Cannot exceed 25% of the area of a required yard

Standard setbacks for the Town are 20'  at the back and sides.  A double frontage (corner lot) lot overrides a side yard setback

A permit is required for any building over 120 square feet and the application is located here.

Please submit (3 copies) of a site plan (drawing of all structures, fences, septic area on your lot) and construction brochure or diagrams with your permit application.
